Good, but...

I really liked the whole concept of the game, but the grammar mistakes took a lot from the experience. Perhaps an update could fix this?

Its got a lot of potential, but needs an editor. Badly.

This story is very creative and shows an interesting and in-depth world that the author has obviously put a lot of work into. It is unfortunate that it reads like the first draft of a middle school creative writing essay. To be blunt, it needs an editor to go over it. There are so many grammatical errors in the work that at times it makes the story almost impossible to follow. It should never have been released in its current state. Please note that this is not a knock against the author, as from what I have been able to glean from the story is an interesting premise. I want to see more, but this work needs to be revised as right now it is a very strong example of how poor grammar can really kill a story. If I can provide a couple of examples: "Only ruins" - said the wizard. - "You didnt see whats happened with the big cities of this Empire. Its terrible. Come, the night is coming and I see youre tired. Well take a rest there". "Destroyed houses and towers, a green-sparkling grass had grown through the cracks in the stone roads and it was coldly here. Staying here you wanted to think about the terrible and painful past of this city." "It was already darkly when youve come here and the wizard summoned his silver light onto his staff. The far sky returned its bright stars and Elred was shining glaringly as if it tried to incinerate the worlds." Three examples from three pages a fair ways into the story. The author shows a certain descriptive flare, but misses some very basic mistakes that even a spell and grammar check in a writing program would flag and correct. These sorts of mistakes are common throughout the entire work. As a fan of interactive fiction I really want to like this story. Its creative use of a new idea that hasnt really been tried before. I want to see more, but I also want to be able to understand it. If the author updates with an edited version, I will gladly change my review to a higher rating.

Brilliant.

Well written, imaginative and interesting. Loved it. Great writer man

Uh...

The game appears to have a complex role playing system to it. Thats the only good thing as the authors use of English isnt very good. The story and characters would have gone a long way with some editing, and I cant help but wonder why Choice of Games gave this one a go. It is rather heartbreaking considering the time and effort that was put into making this game and I commend the author for such hard work. That can only get you so far though as the game becomes unintentionally hilarious with poor grammar and sentence structure. Perhaps with some editing I can recommend the game, but until then you might wanna pass.

So bad.

The writing is so terrible that I honestly gave up and deleted the app after 3 pages. I dont believe English is the authors first language, and I dont believe I would have enjoyed this app even if it had been free. Do not waste your money. Other review is likely written by the author. Read the writing in the description sample pages carefully and youll see the problems.

Disappointing

I dont really write reviews that often, but I just wanted to say that I found the mistakes and poor writing distracting. Its such a shame, because the concept could be truly great. I just wish the author had given this to an editor or just had someone read it, I couldnt even finish it. And another thing! Why the heck is it $1.99?! I spent 2 dollars on an unreadable story...

Bad grammar

Im not very far into the book, but Ive had to stop reading already . The grammar is terrible and makes the story completely unreadable. Its almost like it was written in a different language and the editors just used a free web translator service and published it that way. Really needs some editing.

Do not buy this game!

In its current form this game is impossible to decipher. And for some reason the author uses the word "Azure" in almost every other sentence. The poor quality of this game is astounding and I am left to wonder how this game was released in its current form.

Save Your Money

I dont usually write reviews, but I had to warn others against buying this. The grammar is so bad I have a difficult time understanding what is going on most of the time. Your money would be better spent on another app. Seriously. Do not purchase.

Sigh...

I am a huge fan of Choice of Games, and even more of a fan of the games put on Hosted Games. I looked at the reviews before buying this, thinking that I could get past a few grammar mistakes, a few misspellings... I was wrong, for I couldnt get past the fourth page. The story seems fine, but its too much of a pain to have to sit and think on what every sentence really is saying. Im really hoping for an updated version so that I can enjoy what the author has created.

Fairly good

The world depth was excellent and the story length was very good. That said the story could have been more understandable had the author used a English fluent editor. If the game had better English it would have been rated a 4.5 to 5 but at its current rating it is still a good game And expect much from this author in the future

My opinion

I liked the story very much it seems well thought out. The down side is the grammar but personally this doesnt bother me all that much.

Nope

The amount of grammar mistakes plus bad sentence structure left me with a headache. This is not worth the 2 dollars I spent

No

Story was ok at best, but the grammar was so bad. I thought it might get better, but was consistently bad throughout. Also it appears like your choices have no effect on the game.

Might be good, if it made ANY SENSE.

This game seems like it has a good story. But then again, I cant really judge, since I didnt finish it. Or even come close, really. The writing is atrocious, its stupid at the best of times and at the worst barely legible. They go into detail about everything, which can be a good thing when done well. When its not, you find yourself deciding on what color your window shades are. It has more stats than I care to learn about, and probably could program Hal with the amount of coding it needs. Dont buy this, its a waste of money, and likely to kill your brain cells.

Too poorly written to read

Get an editor who speaks English as a first language. You had a solid idea but need to dramatically improve the quality or make the game free.

Horrible

Thats very blunt but true, I cant make my self enjoy this , I tried and failed

Good, could be better

Pros: very long, good storyline. Cons: choices only effect stats, and only effect storyline marginally, grammar issues, but you get use to them, and predictability. Overall its a good game, if the author could just fix the grammar issues and possibly make the choices have more away in the storyline then this would be possibly THE best choice of games books! Note to author; Please finish the series, I loved it and would love to see the 2nd 3rd and 4th parts! - a hopeful reader.

ZERO Stars!

If I could complain and have this app removed I would. I know the small child who tried to translate this writing into English was probably starved and whipped often but even still he could have done a better job... Spelling-F Grammar (use of actual words)-F Sentence structure-F Choices-D Endings- to painful and trying to even continue to the end. Seems like there is a lot of content here but why would anyone put this up in its current state? I AM embarrassed and humiliated for this writer and buying this game. I am taking this app off my phone for fear of being seen with it. Horrible just horrible. I dont even count this as a choice game.

Needs to be fixed

I like almost all of the games that this company produces, however, this one needs more work. There are a lot of grammatical errors that make this game hard to read. It is a great game, it just needs some fixes
